Since you sought our services, it is a foregone conclusion that you either suspect you have a mold problem or the potential thereof. Our Company cannot accurately quote or assess your problem without first seeing it. We begin our services with an assessment at a nominal service fee. Assessments, or PSA’s  (Point Specific Assessment), start at $85.00. Full Mold Inspections start at $325.00. Minimal time required for Point Specific Assessments is 1 hr. Minimal time required for Full Mold Inspection is 2 hrs. Narrative reports with associated and annotated picture references, and samplings are returned in 24-36 hours via e-mail.

Sampling

Sampling is the only way to prove if there is a mold problem.
The three basic ways we do this is by:
Non-viable Air Spore Trap Impact
Direct Tape Lift
Bulk samplings.

Air Spore Trap Impact Sampling

Air Spore Trap Impact Sampling, tests the air in the environment you breathe for mold spore content. A mold spore is about 1/10 the size of a human hair and is quite ubiquitous.

Minimum number of mold samplings is three. One must always be done outside. It’s called a baseline/control sample. The laboratory requires it for proper sampling protocols. For the most part, outside spore counts should be higher than the inside. It takes experienced professionals to determine the actual results, as there are many variables to be considered.

Direct Tape Lift Sampling or Surface sampling

Direct Tape Lift Sampling determines if mold is growing on a surface. These samples are normally taken in attics and crawlspaces off various decking or structural members. Mold growth is determined by groups, clumps, and chains of spore types accompanied by intact mycelial or sporulating structures.

Bulk Sampling

Bulk sampling is used when a physical sample of the contaminated area can be acquired. Protocol of analysis is similar to Direct Tape Lift or Surface Sampling.

All sampling requires execution of a legal document called the “Chain of Custody”. At Go Above Board we use MoldREPORT by EMLab P&K.
